Lesson Plan

This is a copy of  my lesson plan I created to help carry out my Vocal Lessons.

AMANDA CHARLESON - VOCAL TUITION – LESSON PLAN

1.     BASIC WARM UP EXERCISES – based on pitch, tone and volume to allow the student to warm up their vocal chords and feel comfortable with the singing conditions in the lesson.

2.     VOCAL ONSET – basic vocal technique used for the student to feel the start of the sound within their voice.

3.     MESSA DI VOCE – more complex vocal technique used to gradually change the volume on the students’ voice to develop breath control.

4.     BREATH SUPPORT – programme of different vocal exercises to help improve breath support

5.     STUDENTS CHOICE OF SONG(S) – time for the student to sing a song of their choice, accompanied by the piano and with relevant feedback given at the end.

6.     QUESTIONS – time for the student to ask any occurring questions.

7.     QUESTIONAIRE – a small prepared questionnaire for the student to fill in, to allow me to improve and develop the lesson.

* Lesson plan can be altered to suit the student and length of the lesson.
